ANDREW CAMPBELLhas previously contributed articles to this journal examining Soviet intelligence, intelligence methodologies and clandestine political action in regard to Australian-United States relations, and has a special interest in history, development and trends in Russian intelligence services. MR. R. J. STOVEis a writer and commentator on public affairs and has had numerous articles published in Quadrant, National Observer, Chronicles and The American Conservative, and his work The Unsleeping Eye: A Brief History of the Secret Police and Their Victims was recently published by Duffy and Snellgrove. MR. MAX TEICHMANNis a former member of the Faculty of Politics and Economics at Monash University, and has for many years been a commentator on Australian social and political affairs and foreign policy. MR. KEITH PATCHENis a former government analyst who frequently writes on national security and intelligence matters. DR. GEOFFREY PARTINGTONis a Visiting Scholar at Flinders University and a commentator on social and political issues. DR. I. C. F.
