SIR DAVID SMITH

is a former Official Secretary to the Governor-General of Australia, having held previously many senior offices in the Commonwealth Public Service.

MR. JOHN STONE

is a former Secretary of the Australian Treasury and Senator, and is the Honorary Secretary of The Samuel Griffith Society.

MR. R.J. STOVE

Is a writer and commentator on public affairs and has had numerous articles published in Quadrant, National Observer, Chronicles and The American Conserative, and his work The Unsleeping Eye: A Brief History of the Secret police and Their Victims was recently published by Duffy and Snellgrove

MR. JOHN BALLANTYNE

is a history graduate from the University of New England, N.S.W.; a former co-ordinator of the Captive Nations Council of South Australia; and currently editor of News Weekly.

iis a Queen's Counsel, the Editor of National Observer and a former member of the Law Faculties of the University of Melbourne and Monash University.
